Carlos is a passionate individual for investments and technology with a long/short equity analysis and portfolio management experience approach that combines his fundamental, quantitative and data science skills in order to deliver superior returns. His core strength lies on his understanding that investments is a continuous learning process that requires a regular disciplined effort and relentless mindset. Carlos has experience as Investment Analyst, Head of Equities, and Portfolio Manager running long-only and long/short equity mandates (+$1 bn AuM) attaining double-digit annual returns for his investors. He earned his MBA at AFI Business School, and degree in Business & Economics at the University of Alicante. In addition, he is also a CFA, CQF (Certificated in Quantitative Finance) and graduated in Game Theory and Competitive Strategy at the London School of Economics and graduated at NYCDSA (New York City Data Science Academy). Currently, Carlos is very interested in developing machine learning models using alternative and conventional data in order to blend fundamental and quantitative methodologies that allows him to continue delivering sound annual investment returns.
