Emil Parikh is a Data Scientist and Software Developer with a varied background. His projects include developing an integrated data collection and visualization dashboard of datacenter capacity at NYC Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DoITT). DoITT uses this system to acquire funding for hardware from NYC Office of Management and Budget. Emil has also worked as a Software Developer for NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. He is a self-starter who built the dashboard at DoITT with minimal direction, initiating meetings with technology experts to gain insight on their data. He understands the value of patience and listening in finding value where others may not see it. His varied skills and experiences with people enable him to view data on a human as well as technical level. Outside of work, he can be found singing in a rock choir and directing his a cappella group.
