Yannick Kimmel

Yannick is drawn to solving a wide range of problems - from the traditional sciences to current challenges in data science and machine learning. Yannick holds a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware, and a BS (with high honors) in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia. He has authored or coauthored ten peer-reviewed journal articles focused on the catalytic properties of metal ceramics for alternative energy applications. His expertise allowed him to coordinate the move of his advisor’s lab to Columbia University. He began his professional career as an R&D engineer in the semiconductor industry, where he is co-inventor of a patent application. He decided to transition to data science realizing the immediate and future impact of insights gained from the universal data field.
