Chuan Hong

Chuan Hong is a Ph.D. Candidate majoring in Public Health at the University of South Carolina. Her main research areas are environmental health sciences, with a focus on environmental epidemiology. By using a series of data collection, statistical analysis, and modeling, her Ph.D. research studies the relationship between prenatal methylmercury exposure and neonatal outcomes. Before starting her Ph.D. program, Chuan worked at Greenpeace East Asia (Beijing Office) as a food & agriculture campaigner conducting research and investigation about the overuse of chemical pesticides and fertilizer. In her free time, she is an animal lover and loves cooking and hiking with friends. Recently, with the passion of data science, Chuan moved to New York City to join NYC Data Science Bootcamp.
