Belinda hails from the Bayou City, where she earned her Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Houston. Drawn to the bright lights and energy of the city, she relocated to New York to attend Columbia University at the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. After receiving her Masters in Architecture and Urban Design, Belinda worked in boutique architecture firms carrying out design projects from concept through construction documents. Her interests in all things that shape how we feel in and experience public space lead her to collaborate with artist Mary Miss on numerous public art installations in NYC and Indianapolis. Lately she has been captivated by the intersection of urban design, data, and technology and the potential impacts they have on creating an equitable city.
